Take the trophy home. Send the glory up.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Winning produces a small fork. You can absorb the achievement entirely into yourself, which feels good and quietly makes the next loss unsurvivable, or you can enjoy it fully while remembering it was not made of your effort alone. Keeping the prize and redirecting the credit is not false modesty, it is an accurate account.
Celebrate properly rather than pretending it does not matter. Then name out loud who helped and what you were given. Doing that makes success much lighter to carry and keeps it from becoming the thing you are.
Who helped with your last win and never got named?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
