Most of a season is practice, not playoffs. Find joy in the Tuesdays or ninety percent of the calendar turns into waiting.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
If only the games that matter count as the good bits, then ninety percent of your time is spent in a waiting room, which is a hard way to spend a year. Practice is not the price of the season. It is most of the season, and it is where nearly all the hours live.
Find something in the Tuesday version to enjoy: the people, the improvement you can feel, the fact that you get to do it. Set one small aim for an ordinary session this week. This works well beyond sport, since most of any life is made of the parts nobody is watching.
Which ordinary day are you treating as time to get through?
