Some scars are just tuition receipts from classes nobody else could have taught you.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Some things you carry were paid for at a high price, and what you got in return is knowledge nobody could have handed you secondhand. That does not make the experience worth it or turn the hurt into a gift. It does mean the understanding you now have is real, and it is yours.
Be gentle with the parts that are still tender. Where you can, notice what you now recognise early that you once walked straight into. That recognition is worth something, and you do not owe anyone gratitude for how you got it.
Which painful year taught you something no class could?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
