Rookie mistakes are allowed in rookie season. Just don’t still be making them in year three.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Inexperience buys you a period where mistakes are expected and easily forgiven, and that period is genuinely useful if you spend it learning rather than hiding. What is less forgivable later is making the same errors after the excuse has expired, which happens when the early ones never got examined.
Keep a short record of what you got wrong this year and why. Look at it before the next season starts. The point is not to be flawless now, it is to make sure the list is different next time.
How long have you let a beginner mistake stand?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
