Disagree with the rule? Argue it openly. Breaking it quietly just makes you a smuggler.

LEADERSHIP
Rules are worth challenging, and challenging one out loud is a completely different act from ignoring it quietly. Open disagreement can actually change something, and it puts your name on the position. Quiet breaking changes nothing and collects the benefit without the argument. One of those is participation and the other is not.
Say so to the person who can actually alter it, plainly and with a reason. Be willing to lose that conversation. Keeping the rule while you argue against it costs little and gives your case more weight.
Which rule do you break quietly instead of challenging openly?
