A deliberate life is partly the art of knowing what deserves to remain undone.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A life chosen deliberately involves an explicit list of things that will not get done. Not failures, not procrastination, but decisions to leave certain worthwhile things permanently undone so that a few others can be done properly. Without that list, everything stays theoretically on the table and quietly generates guilt.
Write down three things you are choosing not to do, in this year or at all. Say them clearly to yourself. The relief of a decided no is different from the weight of an open maybe.
What is on your list that should simply be crossed off?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
