Digging up someone’s old posts to embarrass them says more about your free time than their past.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Going through somebody’s history looking for usable material takes real time and a particular intention. Whatever turns up, the search itself is the most revealing part of the exchange. People change, and treating an old version of someone as current evidence is a statement about you rather than about them. It almost never reads the way the person doing it expects.
If someone bothers you, deal with what they are doing now. Leave their past alone unless it is genuinely relevant. Ask what you would want done with yours.
Where does your attention go when you want someone to lose?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
