Quitting the team after three seasons doesn’t delete the three seasons. They still count.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
An ending does not reach backward and cancel what came before it. Three years of turning up, of getting better, of being part of something, all actually happened and all still shaped you, regardless of how the last chapter reads. The instinct to reclassify the whole stretch as wasted is a story about the ending, not the truth about the time.
If you leave something, make a short list of what those years gave you before you close the door. Fitness, friends, a tolerance for early mornings, whatever it was. Then let the decision be a decision rather than a verdict on your past self.
What do you still have from something you walked away from?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
