Freedom looks like no curfew. It feels like having to wake yourself up for the shift nobody will remind you about.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Independence is usually imagined as the removal of rules and experienced as the arrival of responsibility. Nobody tells you to go to bed and nobody tells you to get up, which sounds like relief until you discover that everything now runs on your own decision, including the parts you used to resent being made to do. That is the actual content of being free.
Build a few structures of your own before you need them. An alarm you obey, a bedtime you keep on ordinary nights, a habit that does not depend on mood. Order you choose yourself is what makes freedom livable rather than exhausting.
Which responsibility only you can remind yourself to keep?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
