Conflict has a budget, and every argument spends from the same account. Insisting on being right about something trivial costs exactly the same goodwill as insisting about something that matters, and you arrive at the important disagreement with nothing left. People who win every small dispute tend to lose the large ones.
Before you push back, ask whether you would still care about this next week. If not, concede quickly and without performance. Save the full weight of your objection for the few things where being wrong would actually cost somebody something.
Which small argument are you about to spend yourself on?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
