Beginners are allowed to be bad and excited at the same time. Pros forget that and burn out.

CREATIVITY
Early on, being bad costs nothing and the enjoyment runs free, which is why beginners often outlast people who are far better than them. Once standards arrive, every session gets graded, and the grading slowly eats the reason you started. Skill is worth having, though not at the price of the appetite that carried you there.
Keep one part of the thing deliberately ungraded, where the only test is whether it was fun. Try something adjacent where you are honestly a novice again. That beginner feeling is not a stage you passed; it is a supply you can refill.
What are you willing to be visibly bad at?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
