Some warnings deserve action; others merely deserve observation.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Not every alarm is a call to act. Some things are worth knowing about and watching, without any change to what you are doing today. Responding to every signal exhausts you and teaches the people around you that your reactions are cheap. Ignoring signals entirely leaves you surprised. The third option, watching deliberately, is underused because it does not feel like doing anything.
When something concerning appears, ask what would have to happen next for it to require action, and write that trigger down. Then let it sit. If the trigger fires you will move without hesitation, and if it does not you will have saved the energy for something that needed it.
Which worry have you acted on that only needed watching?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
