Somewhere along the way, someone paid a tab you forgot you ran up. Pay one forward.

Help often arrives without a label on it, and years later the person helped is convinced they did it alone. Somebody made an introduction, covered for you, or quietly decided not to make something harder. Almost none of that gets itemized, and the honest response is not guilt but continuing the pattern.

Try to name one person whose help you never properly registered, and tell them if they are still reachable. Then do the same for someone who will never know it came from you. That is how the whole arrangement keeps moving.
