Worry runs in the background like an app you forgot to close, draining you for nothing.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Worry rarely feels like an activity, which is why the cost of it goes unnoticed. It runs underneath everything, drawing energy from whatever you are meant to be doing, and returning nothing, because most of what it processes cannot be acted on. The drain is real even while the thought is quiet.
Write down what you are turning over and mark each item as actionable or not. Give the actionable ones a time this week and close them. For the rest, notice that the thinking is not protecting anybody, and let the background process stop where it can.
What worry has been running quietly all week?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
