Your brain pitches ideas all day. You’re the producer who decides which ones get greenlit.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Thoughts are proposals rather than instructions, and how many arrive says nothing about their quality. Most of what turns up is generated by whatever you last saw, ate or worried about, and it presents itself with exactly the same authority as your best reasoning. The useful line is not between good thoughts and bad ones. It runs between the ones you act on and the ones you merely notice.

When an idea arrives this week wearing urgency, wait a day before doing anything with it. The ones that survive the wait deserve your time. Most will not survive.
