Changing your phone wallpaper feels like a fresh start. The apps are all still the same.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Rearranging the surface gives you the feeling of change at none of its price, and the feeling is convincing enough to postpone the change itself. New notebook, new playlist, new profile picture, and underneath it the same habits running the same way. The relief is real but it has a short shelf life.
Ask what would actually be different a week from now if the new look worked. Then change one underlying thing, the bedtime or the first hour or the app you open without deciding. Decoration afterwards is fine, once something structural has moved.
