A bookmark isn’t where you quit. It’s where you plan to come back.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Stopping and abandoning look identical from outside, and you can mistake one for the other in your own life. Putting something down with the intention of returning is a legitimate move, and it only becomes quitting when you stop marking the place. The difference is intent plus a way back in.
For anything you have set aside, write down exactly where you were and what the next step would be. Give it a date, even a vague one. That way the pause stays a pause instead of quietly turning into a decision you never made.
What did you pause that you still intend to finish?
