Envy, fear, anger, and sadness can all become useful once they stop pretending to be instructions.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Every difficult emotion contains real information. Envy shows you what you want, fear shows you what you value, anger shows you where a line is, sadness shows you what you have lost. Each becomes destructive only when it stops reporting and starts commanding, converting its observation into an order about what you must do right now.
Try receiving these feelings as data rather than directives. Ask what each one is pointing at, write it down if that helps, and then decide the action separately and later. Envy that has been read carefully becomes a clue about your own ambitions rather than a reason to resent someone who did nothing to you.
Which of your harder feelings has taught you something worth keeping?
