Impact comes from contrast. The silence before the hit is what makes the hit land, and anyone who fills every space just makes noise that people stop hearing. The same is true of whatever you say or do constantly. Restraint is not absence. It is setup.

Look for a place this week where you usually fill the gap. The pause before you answer, the joke you do not need to make, the second message you send before the first one gets a reply. Leave the space open once and watch what happens. Most of the time, what you were going to add was weaker than the quiet.
