A feeling repeated frequently may reveal an environment worth examining.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A feeling that keeps returning in the same setting is often reporting on the setting. If you are anxious every Sunday evening, defensive around one particular person, or flat every time you enter a certain building, the pattern is pointing outward rather than inward. Treating it purely as something to manage inside yourself means working very hard to tolerate a situation that could be changed.
Keep a rough note of when a recurring feeling shows up and what is around it at the time. After a few weeks, look for the shared element. If one place or person or obligation appears again and again, the question stops being how to cope and starts being what to alter.
