Beginnings are easy because they are pure possibility with no obligations yet. The real character of a thing appears once you are deep enough in that you have to live with your earlier choices, solve problems you created, and continue without the energy novelty was supplying. That is the part most people never reach.

If you have a lot of page ones behind you, the fix is not more enthusiasm at the start. Take the most promising unfinished thing and push it past the point where it stopped being fun. Set a small daily amount and keep going while it is dull.
