LEADERSHIP

LEADERSHIP
Patience with someone who is not getting it is the core of every role that involves other people, and nobody recognises it while it is happening at home. Explaining the same thing again without sighing, finding a different way to say it, staying warm on the ninth attempt: that is the whole skill, practised in the least glamorous setting available.
Notice where you are already doing this. A younger sibling, a slow process, a friend who keeps asking. Do it deliberately rather than resentfully, and pay attention to which explanation finally works.
Who at home are you patiently teaching right now?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
