Wisdom is knowing whether this is a wait moment or a move moment. Most people only have one setting.

LEADERSHIP
Both waiting and acting are correct sometimes, and most people have a default and apply it everywhere. The person who always moves burns things down early. The person who always waits watches opportunities close. Neither is a flaw of character. It is an unexamined setting.
Work out which one you are, because you almost certainly have one. Then, on the next decision, deliberately consider the other option for a full minute before choosing. Ask what would have to be true for the opposite approach to be right. You are not trying to switch settings, only to have two.
Is your default always to move, or always to wait?
