People learning a new language go quiet for a while before they start talking. The silence is where it’s loading.

A quiet stretch in learning is not the absence of progress, it is the part of progress that has no output yet. Input is being sorted and patterns are settling, and none of that produces anything you can show. Because it produces nothing visible, the quiet gets mistaken for stalling, and people quit inside it.

If you are in a silent phase, keep feeding it and lower what you expect back this month. Stay with the reading, the listening, the repetitions. Judge it at the far end, not from the middle.
