Injury rehab is just patience with a physical therapist counting. It still counts as training.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Recovery work is work, even though it is quiet and none of the numbers look impressive. The same qualities that build anything else are in use, consistency, precision, turning up when it is dull, and rebuilding rather than adding does not change what it asks of you. Counting it as time off is what makes it feel like time lost.

Track the rehab sessions the way you would track any other training. Give real attention to the small movements you are being asked to do slowly. You are not paused, you are working on the part that has to hold everything later.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What slow recovery are you refusing to count as work?
