Graduating at 26 is still graduating. The diploma doesn’t print your age.

The finish does not record how long you took to reach it. Years later the only surviving fact is that you did it, while the delay that feels so conspicuous right now disappears from the record entirely. Shame about timing is almost always carried by you alone and forgotten by everybody else.

If you are finishing something later than planned, count what is left and work on that rather than on the years. Say the date out loud without apologising for it. Completion is the part that keeps mattering.
