Watching everything on 2x speed trains you to hate anything that takes its time. Real life takes its time.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Speeding everything up adjusts what feels normal, and the adjustment follows you out of the app. Once your baseline is compressed, ordinary pacing starts to register as unbearable, and the things that cannot be accelerated, conversations, learning, recovery, closeness, begin to feel like they are malfunctioning. The impatience is trained rather than innate.

Leave something at normal speed on purpose this week and let it be slow. Notice the discomfort in the first few minutes and stay with it. Tolerance for real pacing is a capacity you can rebuild.
