Some people will only respect your line after crossing it costs them something. Let it cost.

Letting a consequence arrive is not revenge; it is allowing the situation to finally carry some information.

When a limit gets crossed this week, let the natural result happen rather than smoothing it over. The plan they have to change, the ride you do not give, the silence you do not break first. Stay kind about it and stop absorbing the cost on their behalf.
