Clean laundry doesn’t grow in drawers. Someone at home has been doing magic tricks you never clapped for.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Ordinary domestic work is designed to be invisible and it succeeds, which means whoever does it is thanked least for the thing that takes the most consistency. It gets noticed only when it stops. Years of it can pass without anybody naming it once.
Name one specific thing this week to whoever has been doing it, not a general thank you but the actual task. Then take one of those tasks over permanently instead of offering to help. Doing it without being asked is the part that registers.
Who at home keeps doing work you never thank them for?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
