REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Approval that arrives after the work is finished cannot tell you whether the work was good, only that it was visible. It also has a short shelf life, so the same number that felt like proof on Monday is worth nothing to you by Friday. Anything you build a sense of yourself on has to outlast the week, or you are rebuilding constantly.

Ask what would still be there if nobody ever saw it. The skill you gained, the thing you can now make, the person you were steady with. Keep a private record of those, so on the day the numbers are low you still have something to read.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What are you building that will outlast a week of attention?
