Walking into a new class still mad about the last one is wearing sunglasses indoors and blaming the lights.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A mood carried from one room into the next keeps working, and it does its work invisibly. You arrive already braced, read ordinary neutrality as hostility, and behave in a way that earns a cooler response, which then confirms the mood you brought. Nothing in the new room caused any of it.
Put a small gap between rooms this week. Thirty seconds at the door, one breath, a sentence to yourself about what you are carrying and where it came from. Naming it is usually enough to keep it from being charged to whoever is in front of you next.
What mood did you carry into a room that deserved better?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
