Big decisions look different after a night of sleep. Let the morning version of you vote too.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
You are not the same decider at every hour. Late at night, tired and without perspective, everything is heavier and more final, and the choice you would make then is being made by the version of you with the fewest resources. Sleep does not add information, but it restores the part of you that can weigh it.
Make a rule for anything large, no decision after a certain hour and nothing confirmed until morning. Write the argument down at night if it will not leave you alone. If it still looks right at nine the next day, then it probably is.
Which choice of yours could wait until tomorrow morning?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
