Relationship status: single isn’t a missing piece. It’s a whole person with more free evenings.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The word single gets treated as a description of absence, as though a person were a set with one item not yet delivered. Nothing about you is incomplete while you are on your own. What is different is the shape of your time and who else has a claim on it, which is a fact about your week rather than about your worth.
Use the space as space rather than as a waiting room. Put something into the free evenings that you would struggle to fit in later. If you want company eventually, that is fine too, and it does not make the present version of you a draft.
What do you assume you are missing without a partner?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
