Stay curious about yourself. The minute you think you’ve got you figured out, you stop growing.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Deciding you have yourself figured out closes a door that should stay open. People change in slow, unannounced ways, and a fixed self-description filters out whatever does not match, which is how someone ends up living off a report that expired years ago. Curiosity keeps the file open.
Hold your description of yourself as a working draft rather than a finding. When you act out of character, treat it as information instead of an exception. Asking what you are like now, occasionally and without alarm, keeps you from answering with something very out of date.
What about yourself have you decided is settled for good?
