Keeping some things to yourself doesn’t make you fake. It makes you a person with a front door.

STILLNESS
Having an inside is not the same as being closed off. Everyone runs with parts that are not on general release, and that is what makes closeness mean something when you do open a door. Total disclosure to everyone is not honesty, only an absence of thresholds.
If you feel guilty about not telling people things, ask whether the silence is protecting you or deceiving them. Those are different situations. Most of the time it is the first, and you are allowed a house with rooms that not everybody enters.
What do you keep private that people assume you are hiding?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
