Some worries are subscriptions you forgot to cancel. You’re still paying for them every morning.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Some worries keep running long after the situation that started them has ended. The mind holds on to a concern out of habit, checking it each morning as though it were still live, and some of it stays alive on repetition alone. Nothing renewed it except the checking.
Write down what you are carrying at the moment and put a date next to each one. Ask which you could do something about today and which are simply still open in the background. A few can be closed on the spot, and noticing that is most of the relief.
Which worry have you carried past the point it mattered?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
