From an airplane, traffic jams look tiny. Try looking at your problems from higher up.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Scale changes with distance, and you are always standing very close to your own difficulties. Up close a problem occupies everything, while from any height it turns out to be one feature of a much larger picture that is still moving. Nothing about the problem changes, only the proportion.

Get some literal distance this week, a walk, a different room, a night away from the situation. Then ask how much of your actual life this touches. Most things that feel total turn out to be local.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

How small does your biggest problem look from far away?
