Antagonism needs proximity to survive. Once somebody is out of your daily situation the feeling has nothing to run on and it fades, usually so gradually that you never notice it going. How strongly you feel about a person now is mostly a function of how often you have to deal with them.
That is worth knowing before you do something permanent about a temporary feeling. Avoid the message or the scene that will outlast the resentment behind it. In a few years you would rather describe this as something you handled well.
Which grudge are you carrying that will not survive the year?
