Cropping out the parts where you look bad turns a true photo into a false one.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Every element can be accurate and the whole thing still misleading, which is the most common way people mislead without saying anything false. Selection does the work. You keep what supports the version you want and remove what complicates it, and because nothing was invented it never feels like dishonesty.
Tell one story this week with the inconvenient part left in. The moment you looked bad, the help you got, the detail that undercuts your role. It costs a small amount of standing and buys something better, which is that people can believe the rest of what you say.
What do you crop out when you retell events?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
