Comparing your Tuesday to someone’s award night is a contest you rigged to lose.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
What you see of other people is the edited portion, and what you have of yourself is all of it, including the flat hours nobody would post. Setting those against each other is not really a comparison. The result is decided before you begin, and the feeling it leaves is information about the sample rather than about your life.
When that feeling arrives, name what you are actually looking at. One good hour of theirs, every hour of yours. Then put the phone down and go make an ordinary hour worth having.
Whose highlight reel are you measuring your ordinary day against?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
