If everyone around you says you’re always right, you’ve built an echo, not a circle.

A room that never contradicts you did not happen by accident. It was assembled slowly, by how you reacted the last few times somebody disagreed and by which people quietly stopped bothering. Comfort like that is expensive, because the price is losing the early warning you would otherwise get for free from people who care enough to say something.

Think about who used to push back and stopped. Ask that person directly what they have been holding. Then take the answer without arguing, since how you respond this time decides whether they ever offer again.
