Fear can get you started. It’s a bad fuel for the long haul. Find a reason you actually like.

Fear is a strong engine and a short one. It gets you to the first deadline because the cost of not moving is right in front of you, and then it needs a fresh threat. People who rely on it burn hot for a season and then quietly stop. Something you actually like does not need topping up the same way.

Work out what the part you enjoy really is, not the version that sounds respectable to adults. If there is no enjoyable part anywhere in it, better to know now than in year four.
