The kid you help with long division might teach someone else one day. That’s how help travels.

Help does not stop with the person who receives it. Somebody learns to carry the remainder, and five years later they are the one explaining it at a kitchen table, using a method they no longer realise was handed to them. That is how useful things actually spread, through people rather than programmes, and the chain is invisible from where you stand.
Which is a reason to help whoever is in front of you without knowing where it goes. Sit down with your little brother and the worksheet. Explain it the way you wish somebody had explained it to you.
Who did you help who might pass it on later?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
