The job you have now is where you build the habits your dream job will expect on day one.

Habits do not wait until the work matters. How you handle a shift at sixteen, whether you arrive early, whether you say so when you have broken something, whether you finish the dull part properly, is the version of you that turns up on day one of anything later. Good practice cannot be held in reserve for work you care about. Whatever you practise is what you will have.
So treat the unimpressive job as training in the parts that transfer. Be the one who is on time and closes up properly. The job is temporary and the habit is not.
Which habit from your current job will still serve you later?
