LEADERSHIP
Nobody is at the top of anything by themselves. Underneath every visible person sits a layer of people doing unseen work: setting up, driving, scheduling, fixing, covering shifts. Forgetting them is not only ungrateful, it is inaccurate, and it tends to make the structure less willing to hold you up. Knowing who carries you is decency and self-interest at the same time.
Learn the names of three people whose work makes your thing possible and use those names out loud. The caretaker, whoever does the roster, whoever opens the building. Thank one of them for something specific you noticed.
Whose steady work holds up the position you are climbing toward?
