If you get to the top and nobody’s glad you’re there, take a hard look at how you climbed.

Arriving somewhere to silence is information. People are generally pleased when somebody decent does well, so an absence of that reaction usually says something about the route rather than about everybody being jealous. It is a feedback mechanism that only reports at the very end, which is why it is worth asking the question earlier. How you climb decides what the top feels like once you are standing on it.
Check in now instead of later: would the people you passed on the way be glad to hear good news about you. If a name comes to mind that would not, start there.
Who would be genuinely glad to see you get this?
