If the only reason you want it is to prove someone wrong, you’ll feel empty the day you win. Want it for you too.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Spite is excellent fuel and a terrible destination. It gets you out of bed for a long time, but the day you arrive, the person you were answering is not there and nothing inside you has changed. Anger can start the engine; something of your own has to steer.

Write down what you would still want from this if the doubter vanished tomorrow. If something is left on the page, build toward that part. If the page is blank, the goal may be worth keeping and the reason needs replacing.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Besides proving someone wrong, why do you want it for yourself?
