Don’t confuse a big following with a big life. One is a number. The other is a Tuesday you actually like.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

A follower count measures how many people glanced at something, which is not the same as how good your days are. The two can move in opposite directions, and plenty of accounts people envy belong to someone whose week is anxious and thin. The real test is unglamorous and private, and it is whether you like an average Tuesday.

Rate last Tuesday out of ten and look at what would have raised the score. It is usually sleep, a person, some food and something you made. Put more of that in this week, and none of it needs an audience.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Do you actually like your Tuesdays, numbers aside?

Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
