The party lasts one night. The video someone took can last a lot longer.

An event and the record of it have very different lifespans. A night finishes, and a clip of it can be forwarded, saved, resurfaced and shown to someone whose opinion matters to you years from now, with no context and no right of reply. Nobody filming is thinking about that. They are filming because it is funny tonight.

Assume a camera is running and let that set your line rather than trying to manage it afterward. If you see yourself being filmed somewhere you would rather not be, step out of the frame, which is easier than asking for a deletion. Ask anyway, early, because that window closes fast.
