Meaning travels in more than vocabulary. Pitch, pace, volume and rhythm carry emotion so reliably that you can follow a row without a single word of the language, which tells you how much of your own speech is doing that job. Most of what you communicate at home is in the delivery rather than the sentence. Words are only the top layer.
Try it for ten minutes with the subtitles off and notice how much you can read. Then listen to yourself for a day with the same ear. If your tone and your words disagree, people will believe the tone.
